Genuine buckskin - The material for legends

There are many types of leather pants, but if you have ever worn real buckskin pants, you don't want to have anything else. Deerskin is very pleasant to wear on the skin, but at the same time almost indestructible. Over the years, the trousers form a high-quality patina, and thus becomes a piece of clothing which develops its own high-quality character.

White lime, cod oil and time - The production of deerskin

There are only a few manufacturers of genuinely "chamois" tanned buckskin. The production of this natural material takes several months. First the hides are "limed" with white lime, after washing they are "rolled in" with fish oil in a large barrel. After being preserved with fish oil, the hides are then brushed by hand with a natural blue wood colour, giving them their typical colouring. 

When buying "deerskin" products, please pay attention to the authenticity of the material. Often similar looking products are offered, but they are chemically tanned and can therefore be harmful to health. We will be happy to advise you free of charge via our customer service (see below).

Beim Kauf einer Hirschlederhose möchte man die Sicherheit haben, dass die Hose auch so sitzt, wie es sein soll. Ihre Hose wird in unserer Manufaktur in Memmingen gefertigt, und kann daher noch auf Ihre Wünsche angepasst werden. Als Basis dient die Hose Modell "Hinterstein" (siehe Bild), Taschenkombinationen oder Nappaleder im Knie- und Gesäßbereich können aber noch hinzugefügt oder weggelassen werden.
